Description: The construction of Richards Bay Harbour in South Africa required extensive dredging operations, with the cutter-suction dredger Tramontane being used. A total of nine large cutter-suction dredgers and two hopper dredgers were deployed. To transport the dredged material, over 70 kilometers of pipeline and five floating booster stations were necessary. In total, 170 million cubic meters of material had to be dredged.
