Description: The stunning Midway Atoll is located about 1200 miles northwest of Honolulu in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. During a visit in July 2001, I explored the picturesque lagoons of the island. The clear water of the lagoon shimmers in various shades of blue, depending on the sunlight and depth. The view of the green island with its snow-white beach and deep blue sky is simply unforgettable, exuding a perfect South Seas paradise.
