Stormy sea at the southern tip of Africa

Description: The southern tip of Africa is notorious for sudden storms with hurricane-force winds and high waves. During my numerous visits, I have experienced storms with wave heights of up to eight meters. There were times when I had to wait for up to ten days until the weather calmed down and trips were possible. The waters around Cape Agulhas are known for their rich fish stocks, but also for being dangerous due to the many reefs along the coast. Since the 17th century, it is said that alone in the 'Graveyard of Ships', 140 sunken ships lie here.
