Description: The impressive Bull Shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is foraging near the shark beach of Walker´s Cay, the northernmost of the 700 Bahamas islands. Along with the Tiger Shark and the White Shark, the Bull Shark is considered one of the dangerous shark species. It prefers shallow waters near the shore and estuaries. The Bull Shark is known for its self-confident behavior and low flight distance, especially towards divers. Bull Sharks can grow up to 350 cm in length and weigh around 230 kilograms. They feed on molluscs, rays, cancers, bone fish, and other sharks.
