Description: The great white shark, also known as Carcharodon carcharias, swims close to the boat in the waters off Gansbaai, South Africa. Its impressive mouth is open, its dark blue eye fixated on the happenings above water. The silver shimmering splashing water creates a dramatic contrast. This majestic creature can assess the surroundings perfectly both underwater and above water, adjusting its hunting strategy accordingly. With its imposing size, strength, and fearsome jaws, the great white shark poses a constant threat to the South African fur seals living near Dyer Island and Geyser Rock.
