This fascinating predator is on the prowl at Shark Beach on Walker's Cay, the northernmost of the 700 Bahamas islands. Bull sharks are often found in pairs, but can also be seen in larger groups. Renowned for their aggressiveness, they are among the most dangerous shark species. A unique trait of the bull shark is its ability to survive in freshwater environments. These robust predators inhabit tropical and subtropical waters worldwide. With a short flight distance and a bold approach, encounters with divers are truly memorable. Bull sharks feed on a variety of prey including mollusks, rays, crustaceans, bony fish, and even other sharks.
