Exciting encounter with bull sharks at Shark Beach, Walker's Cay (00003107)
Description: Bull sharks, also known as zambesi sharks or ground sharks (Carcharhinus leucas), are fascinating creatures that come closer curiously. At Shark Beach on Walker's Cay, the northernmost of the 700 Bahamas Islands, you can observe several of these majestic animals. Although bull sharks are considered dangerous shark species, they also live in freshwater and can be found in various bodies of water such as lakes and rivers. These heavyweight sharks inhabit tropical and subtropical waters worldwide and have a low flight distance, allowing divers to observe them up close. Their diet mainly consists of mollusks, rays, crabs, bony fish, and even other sharks.
