Stormy Sea at the Southern Tip of Africa

Description: The stormy sea at the southern tip of Africa is notorious for its sudden gale-force storms with high waves. During numerous visits, I have encountered storms with waves reaching up to eight meters. Sometimes, I had to wait for up to ten days until the storm subsided and it was safe to venture out. The waters around Cape Agulhas are abundant in fish, yet due to the rugged coastline with many reefs, it is considered a treacherous area for ships, known as the 'Graveyard of Ships' where approximately 140 vessels have sunk since the 17th century.
