Experience the Raw Beauty of the Stormy Sea at the Southern Tip of Africa (00011296)
Description: The stormy sea at the southern tip of Africa is notorious for sudden storms with gale-force winds and high waves. During numerous visits, I have encountered storms with waves reaching up to eight meters. Sometimes, I had to wait for up to ten days until the storm subsided and it was safe to venture out. The waters around Cape Agulhas are incredibly rich in fish, yet the treacherous coastline with many reefs makes it hazardous for navigation. Since the 17th century, it is said that 140 sunken ships rest in the 'Graveyard of Ships.'
