Impressive Images of Storm and High Waves at the Southern Tip of Africa (00011324)
Description: The Southern tip of Africa, specifically Cape Agulhas, is renowned for its fierce storms and extremely high waves. As a seasoned photographer, I have witnessed storms with waves reaching up to eight meters in height. Often, I had to wait for days until the weather conditions calmed down to venture out safely. The waters around Cape Agulhas are teeming with fish, but due to the treacherous coastline with many reefs, it is also infamous for shipwrecks. Since the 17th century, approximately 140 ships are said to have sunk in the area known as the "Graveyard of Ships".
