Description: The southern tip of Africa, known for sudden gale-force storms and high waves, showcases impressive scenes in this photograph. With waves reaching heights of up to eight meters, the spectacle of nature is truly breathtaking. Often requiring patience until the storms calm down, the waters around Cape Agulhas are abundant with fish, yet notorious for shipping due to treacherous reefs and inhospitable coastline. Since the 17th century, approximately 140 shipwrecks are said to rest in the 'Graveyard of Ships' here.
