This jellyfish species, belonging to the genus of siphonophores, is renowned for its bluish shimmering gas bladder, under which the life-threatening tentacles hide. The tentacles of Physalia utriculus, which can reach up to 10 meters in length, and even up to 50 meters in Physalia physalis, are armed with thousands of stinging capsules that release a potent venom upon contact.
