Description: The Portuguese Man-of-War, also known as the Blue bottle, is a fascinating yet extremely dangerous marine creature. With its bluish shimmering gas bladder and tentacles reaching up to 10 meters in the case of Physalia utriculus, it poses a serious threat. Its venom directly affects nerve cells, leading to muscle contractions, respiratory failure, and even heart failure. An inexperienced swimmer encountered these perilous beings off the coast of Karachi and had to fight for his life. Immediate medical attention is crucial in case of an encounter with the Portuguese Man-of-War.
