Description: The port of Richards Bay in South Africa is notorious for its stormy sea conditions at the North Breakwater. The powerful swell waves on the east coast can grow to enormous heights, posing a significant danger. Even the maritime handbook warns about these breakers, which are among the strongest in the world. This perilous situation occurs throughout the year, with waves reaching as far as the crane. In strong winds, the crane had to be retracted to ensure safety.
