Description: The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a fascinating sea creature. This juvenile specimen is seen moving six sea miles from the coast of Gansbaai, close to Dyer Island and Gyser Rock, just below the water surface. Great White Sharks are fully developed and independent from birth. This young shark, measuring around 1.10 to 1.60 meters, feeds on small fish and squids. It remains cautious and disappears when an adult shark appears.
