Description: This photo captures an "adorable" Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) near Gansbaai and Dyer Island in the Western Cape, South Africa. The few days old shark is swimming close to the water surface and appears to be almost smiling. Great White Sharks are fully developed from birth and independent. They feed on small fish and squids. Pups are cautious and flee when an adult shark appears. Only a few manage to reach adulthood.
