Description: The blacktip shark (Carcharhinus limbatus) is a fascinating marine creature that calls tropical and subtropical waters, such as the Bahamas, home. These predators can grow up to 2.6 meters in length and inhabit depths of up to 30 meters. This image captures a graceful blacktip shark gliding majestically over the sandy seabed. Due to overfishing, these sharks are considered endangered and primarily feed on small fish such as sardines and mackerel.
