Description: The majestic Silvertip shark, scientifically known as Carcharhinus albimarginatus, captures attention as it gracefully glides through a swarm of vibrant, colorful fish. Divers have the rare privilege of observing this fascinating predator in its natural habitat. The distinctive white fin tips and margins make the Silvertip shark unmistakable. These impressive creatures can grow up to 300 cm in length and primarily feed on fish and rays. They inhabit waters ranging from the surface to depths of about 800 m. Particularly at Shark Reef in the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji, these captivating sharks with their dark grey backs and pristine white bellies are commonly spotted.
