Description: The silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) is a fascinating inhabitant of Shark Reef in the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji. Easily recognizable by its distinctive white fin tips, this shark can grow up to 300 cm in length and mainly feeds on fish and rays. Silvertip sharks can be found in both shallow coastal waters and depths of up to 800 m. Divers have the opportunity to get up close with these impressive creatures, admiring their dark grey back and white belly.
