Fascinating Silvertip shark in its natural habitat (00017512)
Description: A majestic Silvertip shark (Carcharhinus albimarginatus) is observed by a diver as it gracefully glides through the clear water. This grey shark with distinctive white fin tips and edges is a mesmerizing sight. Silvertip sharks can grow up to 3 meters in length and primarily feed on fish and rays. They are found at depths from the surface to 800 meters. Particularly at Shark Reef in the Beqa Lagoon in Fiji, these impressive creatures with their dark grey backs and white undersides can be seen.
