Description: The whitetip reef shark (Triaenodon obesus) is a fascinating inhabitant of coral reefs. With its gray-brown coloration and a maximum length of about 200 cm, it is an impressive marine creature. The distinctive white tip on the first dorsal fin and the tail fin make it unmistakable. Whitetip reef sharks primarily feed on bony fish living in the reefs.
