Description: The Blacktip Reef Shark (Carcharhinus melanopterus) is a fascinating species inhabiting the warm waters of Beqa Lagoon in Fiji. With a maximum length of 160 cm, it is characterized by its grey-brown coloration and distinctive black fin tips. This shark prefers shallow coastal areas and is commonly found in the intertidal zone. Divers can often spot the Blacktip Reef Shark in Beqa Lagoon, especially at Shark Reef where it is frequently encountered.
