Description: Richards Bay Harbour in Natal, South Africa, required extensive dredging operations, with the Cutter suction dredger Beverwijk 31 playing a key role. Nine large cutter suction dredgers and two hopper dredgers were deployed, along with over 70 kilometers of pipeline and five floating intermediate pump stations. A total of 170 million cubic meters of material had to be excavated to reshape the harbor.
