Description: The Cutter Suction Dredger Beverwijk 31 played a crucial role in the extensive harbor expansion project in Richards Bay, South Africa. Nine of these powerful vessels were deployed to carry out the challenging dredging operations, working in tandem with two hopper dredgers to move the 170 million cubic meters of earth required for the port's development. Over 70 kilometers of pipeline and five floating booster stations were utilized to efficiently transport the dredged material. A remarkable feat of engineering and maritime technology.
