Description: The brown bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) enjoys the late autumn at the waterfall. The Brooks Camp is closed, tranquility sets in, and the bears take over again. The first snow is on the horizon and the autumn foliage enchants the landscape. The salmon run is over, only a few stragglers are still trying to reach their spawning grounds. The bear is searching for the last remains of salmon to strengthen himself for the upcoming winter. A fascinating sight amidst the autumnal natural beauty of Alaska.
