Description: The Bull Shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is on the prowl for food in the shallow waters off Walker's Cay, the northernmost island of the Bahamas. These impressive predators are usually found in pairs, but can also form groups of up to 20 individuals. Alongside the Tiger Shark and the Great White Shark, the Bull Shark is considered one of the dangerous shark species and is known to thrive in both saltwater and freshwater environments. Found in tropical and subtropical waters worldwide, Bull Sharks can grow up to 350 cm in length and weigh around 230 kg. With a bold demeanor and a preference for mollusks, rays, crustaceans, bony fish, and even other sharks, they are a force to be reckoned with.
