Exciting Encounter with a Bull Shark in the Waters of Fiji (00020997)
Description: The Bull Shark (Carcharhinus leucas) is considered one of the dangerous shark species, alongside the Tiger Shark and the Great White Shark. It inhabits tropical and subtropical waters worldwide and is known for its unique ability to survive in freshwater. In Africa, Central America, and South America, Bull Sharks can be found far upstream in lakes and rivers such as the Zambezi, Mississippi, Amazon, Nicaragua, and Lake Ysabel. These sharks can grow up to 350 cm in length, weighing around 230 kilograms. With a bold demeanor, Bull Sharks have a short flight distance and may approach divers directly. Their diet includes mollusks, rays, crustaceans, bony fish, and even other sharks.
