Description: The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a fascinating predator that hunts for prey off the coast of South Africa near Geyser Rock. Every winter, large Great White Sharks gather in this region to prey on the seal colony on Dyer Island. The seals are aware of the danger and try to avoid the shark by staying close to the shore. However, when leaving and returning to the island, they have to swim through the dangerous zone where the Great White Sharks lurk.
