It lives in the waters off the South Coast of South Africa and skillfully hunts its prey. In front of Geyser Rock and Dyer Island lies a large colony of seals that attract the Great White Shark. These impressive hunters come here every winter to feed on the fat reserves of the seals. The relationship between the sharks and the seals is a perfect example of predator-prey dynamics in nature.
