Description: The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is a fascinating and feared predator of the seas. This majestic creature was spotted near Dyer Island, where a large seal colony resides. Every winter, these sharks come to this region to hunt seals. The high concentration of Great White Sharks in this area is due to the presence of the seals. The seals, in turn, are aware of the danger and try to avoid the sharks. However, when the seals venture into the open sea for food, they must cross the dangerous zone where the Great White Sharks lurk.
