Fascinating Great White Shark Observing Prey in South Africa

Description: The Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is one of the most fascinating sea creatures and a feared predator. This impressive predator lives in the waters off Geyser Rock near Dyer Island in South Africa. Here, there is a large colony of South African fur seals (Arctocephalus pusillus), which are a preferred prey of the Great White Shark. Every winter, the large Great White Sharks arrive in this coastal region to hunt the seals. The seals are well aware of the danger and try to avoid encounters with the sharks. The high concentration of Great White Sharks in this area is due to the seal colony.
