Description: The image depicts a group of young cheetahs, also known as cheetahs (Acinonyx jubatus), attentively observing their surroundings. Cheetahs are majestic predators that are nearly extinct in Asia and highly endangered in Africa. They are characterized by their incredible running speeds and are considered the fastest land mammals. The photograph was taken at the Hoedspruit Research & Breeding Centre in the Kapama Private Game Reserve, where both bred and rescued cheetahs are cared for and eventually reintroduced into the wild.
