Description: The African Wild Dog, scientifically known as Lycaon pictus, captivates with its unique spotted coat. Puppies are born black and develop irregular white spots over time. With a shoulder height of 60 to 70 centimeters and a weight of 15 to 30 kilograms, adult African Wild Dogs are impressive animals. They live in packs and inhabit the savannas of Africa south of the Sahara. These fascinating animals are highly endangered and are mainly found in large wildlife reserves.
