Description: The Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is on the hunt for prey in the waters off Gansbaai, near Dyer Island and Gyser Rock. This few-days-old predator is already fully developed, measuring between 1.10 and 1.60 meters in length. Its diet consists of smaller fish and squids. Despite their youth, these sharks are extremely cautious and flee upon encountering adult sharks. Only a few survive into adulthood.
