Description: The baby Great White Shark, also known as Carcharodon carcharias, is navigating through the plankton-rich waters off the coast of Gansbaai, near Dyer Island and Gyser Rock. These few days old sharks are fully developed and foraging on small fish and squids. They are very cautious and disappear quickly when an adult shark appears. Only a few of them ever make it to adulthood.
