Description: The Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) is seen swimming close to the water surface in a shoal off the coast of Gansbaai. This image captures a few days old specimen, fully developed and self-sufficient. Great White Sharks feed on small fish and squids. Pups are very cautious and disappear at the sight of an adult shark. Only a few manage to reach adulthood.
