Description: The Baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) cautiously navigates the plankton-rich waters off the coast of Gansbaai. Just a few days old and already measuring 1.10 to 1.50 meters in length, this young shark is fully developed and self-sufficient. Its diet primarily consists of small fish and squids. Pups like this one are extremely wary and disappear at the sight of an adult shark. Only a few manage to reach adulthood.
