Description: The baby Great White Shark (Carcharodon carcharias) moves six sea miles off the coast of Gansbaai, near Dyer Island and Gyser Rock, close to the water surface. These pups are fully developed at birth, measuring 1.10 to 1.50 meters in length, and independent. Their diet mainly consists of small fish and squids. Young Great Whites are cautious and flee when adult sharks appear. Only a few make it to adulthood.
