Description: The port of Richards Bay in South Africa is known for its impressive surf at the North Breakwater. The swell waves on the east coast can grow to enormous heights here, posing a great danger. Even the nautical charts warn strongly against these breakers. This dangerous situation is present throughout the year. The waves can reach up to the crane and sometimes even to the operator's cabin of the Manitowoc 4600 when the wind is strong. In such moments, the crane has to be moved to a safe area.
