Description: The cutter suction dredger Beverwijk 31 was utilized in the construction of Richards Bay Harbour in South Africa. Nine large cutter suction dredgers and two hopper dredgers were involved in the extensive dredging works. More than 70 kilometers of pipeline and five floating booster stations were required for material transportation. A total of 170 million cubic meters needed to be dredged.
