Description: The construction of Richards Bay Harbor in South Africa required the use of nine large cutter suction dredgers and two hopper dredgers. Over 70 kilometers of pipeline and five floating intermediate pump stations were installed to transport the dredged material. A total of 170 million cubic meters of earth were moved to complete this impressive construction project.
