Description: A baby Great White Shark, scientifically known as Carcharodon carcharias, is on the hunt for prey. This few days old juvenile measures approximately 1.30 to 1.50 meters and swims close to the water's surface off the coast of Gansbaai, South Africa. Great White Sharks are independent hunters from birth, feeding on small fish and squids. Despite their young age, they are extremely cautious and flee at the sight of an adult shark.
