With its long legs and impressive speed, it is considered the fastest land mammal in the world. Unlike its spotted counterpart, the rare King Cheetah is characterized by larger black spots that merge into distinct stripes. This image captures a King Cheetah at the Hoedspruit Research & Breeding Centre in the Kapama Private Game Reserve. Here, not only bred cheetahs are cared for, but also rescued animals that are rehabilitated and reintroduced into the wild.
