Description: The African Wild Dogs, scientifically known as Lycaon pictus, are majestic predators that inhabit the bush and tree-filled savannas of Africa south of the Sahara. The wild dogs are known as the 'Painted Wolf' due to their unique spotted coat pattern. Adult animals reach a shoulder height of 60 to 70 centimeters and weigh between 15 and 30 kilograms.
