Fascinating African Wild Dogs in the Savanna

Description: African Wild Dogs, also known as Lycaon pictus, are fascinating animals with a unique spotted coat. Their puppies are born black and develop yellow-brown colors over time. These rare large predators live in packs in the bush and tree-filled savannas of Africa south of the Sahara. Adult African Wild Dogs reach a shoulder height of 60 to 70 centimeters and weigh between 15 and 30 kilograms. Unfortunately, they are highly endangered and are mainly found in large wildlife reserves.
