Description: The Baby Great White Shark, also known as Carcharodon carcharias, is swimming closer with a focused approach. This captivating predator was spotted off the coast of Gansbaai, near Dyer Island and Gyser Rock. Great White Sharks are fully developed at birth and must fend for themselves from the get-go. Their diet primarily consists of small fish and squids. Pups are extremely cautious and will bolt at the sight of an adult shark. Only a select few make it to adulthood.
