Description: The Barbary Lion (Panthera leo leo) with its impressive mane is in full concentration. This fascinating big cat was once native to the Atlas Mountains and has been extinct in the wild since 1910. However, there are still a few specimens in zoos and breeding centers. The breeding of these majestic animals has been successful, even though they are no longer purebred.
