Description: African Wild Dogs, scientifically known as Lycaon pictus, are fascinating predators referred to as 'Painted Wolves' due to their unique spotted coats. These animals are highly endangered and live in packs in the bush and tree-covered savannas south of the Sahara. Adult African Wild Dogs reach a shoulder height of 60 to 70 centimeters and weigh between 15 and 30 kilograms. Their hunting instincts and social structure make them captivating creatures of the African wildlife.
