Description: The adorable baby cheetah, also known as Acinonyx jubatus, showcases its playful side as it joyfully jumps on the lying tree trunk. This small, seven-week-old cheetah cub comes from a private breeding station near the Addo Elephant Park and is being cared for with the intention of releasing it back into the wild. Cheetahs are known as the fastest land mammals, capable of reaching speeds of up to 120 km/h. Unfortunately, the population of wild cheetahs has drastically declined, primarily due to habitat loss, fur trade, and conflicts with farmers. This image captures the grace and beauty of these majestic animals in their natural habitat.
