Baby Great White Shark exploring the depths of the ocean

Description: The Baby Great White Shark, also known as Carcharodon carcharias, roams the endless depths of the ocean. Only a few days old, the young shark swims near the water surface close to Gansbaai and Dyer Island. Great White Sharks are fully developed at birth and have to fend for themselves from the get-go. Their diet mainly consists of small fish and squids. Pups like this one are extremely cautious and quickly flee at the sight of an adult shark.
